The Humance Society of the Pikes Peak Region is having a HUGE gala fund raising event this Saturday, May 1st, entitled the FUR~R~R Ball. In the spirit of the Society’s mission, I will be offering a commissioned Memory Portrait in the silent auction. The original painting of Zach, the collie, will be on display as well as several other samples of my work. Let’s hope for a significant bid, all of which will go directly to the Society, which has been hit with large budget cuts. Nearly 500 people at $150/person will attend this event.

During the entire time I was painting this pet portrait, the song “I’m so Pretty, oh! so Pretty” from the musical ”Westside Story,” kept going through my head. Isn’t Zach a handsome collie?
